FAQs

GENERAL STUDIO FAQ

  • Always Pilates is Auckland CBDs newest type of Reformer studio!

Our studio started as an On Demand studio by having android touch screens at every reformer so that you can pick which class best suits your needs for your session from an extensive virtual library. This allows us to have extended hours where members can use the studio from 5am to 11pm everyday.

We now also offer 6 person max In Person Group classes! Having small classes goes hand in hand with our On Demand offering as now you can get in person instructor to build you confidence and offer a different challenge to working out on your own time.

  • We have 4 membership options to choose from! They all work for BOTH On Demand and In Person Group classes.

All membership options receive the access key to the space so that you can book your sessions during our extended members schedule of 5am - 11pm every day of the week!

    1x a week for $23

    2x a week for $39

    3x a week for $49

    Unlimited sessions for $59

All can be bought monthly for a discounted rate. There is a 3 month minimum contract for all membership.

  • To make sure our system runs smoothly, we do everything in regards to memberships and bookings online. To sign up for your membership, just go to the ‘buy’ page and select which you would like to purchase. There are the membership options as well as single and concession passes, and Intro Offers on that page.

Then book your first session during Staffed Hours so that we can get you your access key fob, show you around the studio and answer any questions you have.

  • Our Intro Offers is the best way to try out our studio before you become a member!

This way you can try both ways to workout at Always - On Demand sessions and In Person classes - to be confident we’re the right studio for you! Check out our Intro Offers page to see the options.

  • Go to the Bookings page shown at the top of our website. Select the correct schedule to book through, either On Demand or In Person classes.

Those on Intro Offers, Single session, 5x & 10x passes can book both options. But cannot book On Demand sessions outside the listed Staffed Hours.

Choose a bed or be randomly assigned by clicking “Any Staff”, then your preferred date and time. After you hit ‘confirm’ you will be assigned a bed (if not chosen), please take note of this bed number as this is the one you need to use for your session.

Then select your preferred date and time for your session, and hit ‘confirm’! You will be emailed a confirmation of you booking.

  • Anything you’re comfortable in! But please make sure it is appropriate for the space and doing Pilates in. I would suggest athletic clothes you can move easily in which are not too flowy so we avoid the risk of them getting caught in the moving parts of the Reformer.

  • You do not. I personally prefer not wearing grippy socks, but I know other prefer to wear them. I would say though if your feet tend to get sweaty easily, it might be in your best interest to wear them as sweaty feet can get slippery on the machine.

  • We have a brand new shower with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash available. There are towels for you to use as well which we launder and are refreshed constantly. There are two toilets as well as a separate changing area to keep these spaces freed up for their purposes. At the back of the studio we have a getting ready area with a full length mirror and table to use to fix up your hair or makeup.

There is a sink with fresh water if you need to fill up your water bottle. As well as a vending machine to cover all of your snacks needs for before or after your session!

  • Like the name suggests Staffed Hours are the times when there is a staff member in the studio. The reason for these being specified is because this is what allows members to be able to access the space for reformer sessions at the extended hours of 5am - 11pm.

Not everyone that uses the space will be on a membership so to keep the space safe and secure those that have not signed a contract with us are only allowed and able to be admitted to the space when a staff member is on site and lets them in.

  • Yes, there is a very large Wilson Parking lot right across the street! Keep in mind, that this is a bit of a pricey option for parking. I would suggest checking on Parkable to see what other spaces are available near by at a cheaper rate. https://maps.parkable.com/

  • Yes, of course! Please just be aware of our cancellation policy.

If you are cancelling more than 6 hours before your booked time there is no cancellation fee.

If you are cancelling within 6 hours of your time slot, you will be charged $25.

  • We have no locked in contracts so you can cancel your membership anytime. There is only a 4 weeks of paid membership minimum term.

When you cancel you can continue to use the studio until it comes to your next billing as this is when it will not renew and your membership will be cancelled. We cannot offer refunds on memberships that you meant to cancel but did not for that month. Please get in touch with us as soon as you know you want to cancel your membership and we will get that sorted for you.

  • Yes, you can! We offer the ability to pause your membership for a total of 4 weeks over the calendar year. Please just give us 2 weeks notice so that we can set up the pause for the amount of time you need it for.

ON DEMAND SESSION FAQ

  • Your On Demand session starts by you pre-booking your timeslot on our website or through our profile on the Mindbody app. Once your time is locked in, come to the studio at least 5 minutes before the start of your first session so you are ready to go when it starts. We have changing areas available. Go to your assigned bed, select your workout from the virtual library on the screen next to your machine, put on the Bluetooth headphones provided (or connect your own), and push play! Once done, reconnect all springs, spray and wipe down the bed and all equipment used to get it ready for the next person.

  • Our virtual library of reformer workouts has every type of class available. Feel confident that whatever level you are at we will many class options for you! Fundamental, beginner, intermediate, pre and post natal, as well as flexibility and mobility focused classes.

  • Each machine has it’s own over the ear wireless headphones available for you to use. These are cleaned after each use and already connected to your screen for ease of use. If you would prefer your own Bluetooth headphones, you are more than welcome to use those. Please just make sure you arrive in time for your 1 hour session so you have enough time to connect your headphones.

  • As a member, yes you can!

Since you can let yourself in, and already know how the system works you can still do On Demand at anytime between 5am - 11pm daily.

Beds 1 - 4 will always be On Demand beds.

  • In one word - Choice.

You have the ability to choose when you have your session in the day.

You get to choose what workout you have.

You decide the pace and length of your workout.

On Demand is the ultimate is autonomy over your fitness routine. One that finally fits around your life, not the other way around.

IN PERSON CLASSES FAQ

  • Our classes will be intimate 6 person max. This is to make sure the instructor can give individual attention to everyone in the class.

  • Every class is an open all level one. This way whatever time works best for your schedule. you can attend that class and get a workout that still works for you and your fitness level.

Every exercise will start in the simplest form with spring options given to meet the challenge you want. Throughout the exercises you can decide to try the next layer given to advance it, or stay with what you’re already doing if that challenge is enough.

This is the benefit to having small class sizes. The instructor can get a feel of everyone is doing in the class and help each one with advancements or regressions of moves to keep proper form.

  • In one word - Support.

By having an in person instructor is there to help you through out the class.

Hands on adjustments help with perfecting your alignment in exercises making sure you get the most out of every one.

Verbal cues and visual explanations help you get into the flow of the movement more than depending on the video the whole time.

Having this support will grow your confidence on the reformer and in your skills and strength on it.
